Why MaxxECU Files Get Locked

MaxxECU standalone ECUs are popular in the European tuning and motorsport scene. MaxxTune software allows password protection on tune files to prevent unauthorized modifications. If your tuner has moved on, you've switched workshops, or you've lost your password, you can't access or modify your own tune without a recovery service.
