Haltech file types we unlock
Which file you have depends on your ECU and the software it was tuned with. These are the three we unlock:
NSP (Nexus Software)
.nexmapNexus R3 and R5, and Elite ECUs on firmware 3.x. Maps are saved as .nexmap files.
ESP
.e550-2xx.e1500-2xx.e2500-2xxElite ECUs on the older firmware 2.x. The file ending names the model and firmware, for example .e1500-245.
ECU Manager (Platinum)
.hs1-113.hs2-113.hr32v2-114Platinum Sport, Sprint and plug-in ECUs on firmware 1.13 and 1.14, with files such as .hs2-113 or .hr32v2-114. On other firmware, contact us before uploading.
What you get back
The same file, without the lock
Your map opens in NSP, ESP or ECU Manager with no password prompt.
Full access in your software
Tables, sensors and settings can be read and edited again.
Your tune unchanged
No factory reset and no new tune. The calibration in the file stays as it was.

Download the result straight away. A copy is also sent to your email.
Why Haltech maps get locked
NSP, ESP and ECU Manager all let a tuner put a password on a map, usually so customers can't change the calibration. That becomes a problem when the tuner can't be reached, when you change workshops, when you buy a car with a locked tune, or when the password is simply forgotten. We work from the file alone: no factory reset, no ECU swap and nothing to ship.
See it worked before you pay
We unlock your file first and show you what we found in it. You decide whether to pay after that, and if we can't unlock it, you aren't charged.
Verification report
A short report read from your unlocked file, with details such as the ECU model, firmware, engine and wiring. Things only the owner of the tune would recognise.
Map preview
Open your own map in a window laid out like your tuning software. Part of the real values show now, and the rest unlock after you pay. Offered when your map's layout is supported.
