Why Vi-PEC Files Get Locked
Vi-PEC iSeries ECUs are tuned with PCLink — the same software as Link G4/G4+ — so your map file uses the identical .pclr / .pcl format. Tuners can password-protect these files. If your tuner has moved on, you've changed workshops, or you've lost the password, you can't open or edit your own tune.
Because Vi-PEC shares the PCLink platform, our proven Link engine reads Vi-PEC files directly — recovering your password and returning an unlocked map file, without changing your calibration.
