You upload your locked ECU map file (.ecm, .nexmap, .pclx, .emu, .ecf, .ftmap, or MTune save). Our system automatically detects the ECU brand and version, recovers access to the file, and verifies that the result opens correctly. You only pay after successful verification — then you download your unlocked map file instantly.
We currently support Haltech (.ecm files via ECU Manager for Platinum series, and .nexmap files via Nexus Software / NSP for Elite 2500, Nexus R3 & Nexus R5), LinkECU (.pclx/.pcl files — G4/G4+/G4X via PCLink), ECUMaster (.emu files — EMU Black & EMU Classic), Emtron (.ecf files — SL4, SL6, SL8, KV8, KV12, KV16 via EMTune), MaxxECU (MTune encrypted saves — RACE, SPORT, STREET, MINI, PRO), and FuelTech (.ftmap files — all models FT200 to FT700). MoTeC, VEMS, AEM, and MegaSquirt support are coming soon.
It depends on the ECU brand. For LinkECU, Emtron, and FuelTech, you receive both the recovered password and the unlocked map file. For Haltech (both .ecm and .nexmap files) and ECUMaster, you receive an unlocked map file that opens without the password prompt. For MaxxECU, you receive the unlocked MTune save file, ready to open and edit. Your result is shown on screen after payment and is also sent to your email.
No. We recover and verify your map file before showing you the payment screen. If we can't recover it, you won't be charged.
If your unlocked map file doesn't open correctly in your ECU software (Haltech ECU Manager, Haltech NSP / Nexus Software, PCLink, EMU software, EMTune, MTune, or FTManager), contact us at support@ecurecovery.com. We re-check the file associated with your order, and if the result did not work as described, you receive a full refund. See our Refund Policy for full details.
The entire process typically takes under 60 seconds — upload, unlock, verification, payment, and download. Your unlocked map file is available immediately after payment.

We assist only rightful owners in regaining access to their own ECU map files, and we require every user to confirm ownership or authorization before a file is processed. We do not help anyone access files they do not own.
Your file is transmitted over an encrypted connection and processed only to produce your result. Uploaded files are deleted after processing, results are stored in encrypted form, and your download link expires after 24 hours. We do not sell your personal information. No. Our service works entirely with your map file — there's no need to ship your ECU or remove it from your vehicle. Upload the file from your computer, and download the unlocked version. Your existing tune stays intact.
