What you see
- 01Changes highlightedTables that changed are listed first, with how many cells changed. Inside a table, cells that went up are orange and cells that went down are blue.
- 02Both values for every cellPoint at a cell to see map A's value, map B's value and the difference, with its RPM and load point. Switch to Difference to read every change as + or −.
- 03Added breakpoints handledCells are matched by their breakpoints, not their position. If a tuner added an RPM row, only that row shows as new; the rest still compare point for point.
- 04Copy the changesCopy a table's changes, or either map's version of it, into Excel or Google Sheets.

When to compare two maps
Before and after a dyno session
Save the map before the session and after it, then see exactly which tables were touched and by how much.
A map back from your tuner
Compare the map you got back with the one you sent and see every edit, table by table.
Against a base map
Compare a map with the base map it started from to see everything that has been changed since.
Between two saves
Several saves of the same map? Compare two of them to find the one where a value changed.

Both maps must be from the same brand: two Haltech maps or two MaxxECU maps. Map compare covers every table and setting the free map viewer shows; parts of a file the viewer doesn't show aren't compared.
How it works
- 01
Add map A
Drop the older map, or the one you started from. It's read in a few seconds.
- 02
Add map B
Drop the newer map. Both files are checked and read, and neither is kept.
- 03
See what changed
Go through the changed tables one by one, or jump from change to change.

Drop the first .nexmap file into map A and the second into map B. The changed tables are listed straight away, with every changed cell highlighted. It works for Nexus and Elite maps saved with NSP, without NSP installed.
Yes. Drop two .MaxxECU-save files saved with MTune. Tables keep the names and groups MTune uses.
Yes, as long as both are the same brand. Tables are matched by the ID the software gives them, so a table only one version has is listed as only in A or only in B.
Cells are matched by breakpoint value, so a new RPM or load breakpoint only adds new cells; every other cell is still compared with the same point in the other map. If a table was rebuilt on different axes, both versions are shown one above the other.
No. Comparing a locked map with another map would reveal its hidden values, so a locked map opens in a preview instead, with part of the real values shown. You can unlock the file for $159.99, and you only pay if the unlock works.
No. The two brands store completely different tables, so there is nothing to match. Pick two maps from the same brand.
No. Each file is only used to build its view and isn't kept: we don't save a copy. The comparison itself runs in your browser.
Yes. It runs in any modern browser: Mac, Windows, Linux, iPad, Android or iPhone.
