ECU map file unlock specialists
ECU Recovery recovers forgotten passwords and removes password locks from map files for standalone ECUs. Everything is done from the file, and you see proof from your own file before you pay.
What we do
Tuners often protect a map with a password. That makes sense while they look after the car, but it leaves the owner locked out when the tuner can't be reached, the car is sold or the password is lost. The usual ways out are a new tune or a reset that wipes the calibration.
We work from the map file alone. Depending on the ECU, we recover the password that was set on the file, remove the lock, or both. The tune inside isn't changed and nothing has to be shipped.
Most files are done automatically within a minute of upload. Files we can't unlock automatically are reviewed by hand, and you're only charged if we can deliver.
How we work
Proof before payment
You see the result from your own file before you're asked to pay: a masked password, a verification report or a preview of your map.
Only what we can do
We list a file type as supported only when it unlocks automatically, and we say plainly when a file needs a manual review or isn't supported yet.
Your files
Files are sent over HTTPS, results are stored AES-256 encrypted, and download links expire after 24 hours.
Rightful owners only
The service is for the owners of a map file and the tuners or shops they authorise. You confirm this when you pay.
Who uses it
Car owners
You bought a car with a standalone ECU and the tune is locked. You want to read, change or back up your own map without paying for a new tune.
Tuning shops
A customer arrives with a map locked by a previous tuner, and you need to read the existing calibration before you change anything. Shops that unlock often can use credit packs.
Race teams
You need to make changes at the track, but the map is locked by a tuner who isn't there.
