Which file your Elite 2000 saves
Which file you have depends on the software your Elite 2000 was tuned with. We unlock both:
NSP (Nexus Software)
.nexmapElite 2000 ECUs on firmware 3.x are tuned with NSP, Haltech's current software, and save .nexmap files.
ESP
.e2000-2xxElite 2000 ECUs on the older firmware 2.x are tuned with ESP. The file ending names the model and the firmware, for example .e2000-221.
What you see before you pay
We open your Elite 2000 map straight away and show you what we found in it. You decide whether to pay after that.
Map preview
Open your own map in a window laid out like your tuning software. Part of the real values show now, and the rest unlock after you pay. Offered when your map's layout is supported.
Verification report
A short report read from your unlocked file, with details such as the ECU model, firmware, engine and wiring. Things only the owner of the tune would recognise.
How it works
- 01
Upload the locked file saved by NSP or ESP.
- 02
We remove the lock straight away and show you a report read from your unlocked file. If your map's layout is supported, you can also browse its tables.
- 03
If it's right, pay $159.99 by PayPal or crypto. If we can't unlock it, you pay nothing.
- 04
Download the result straight away. A copy is also sent to your email.
Is this your ECU?

The map file your tuner saved: a .nexmap file from NSP (firmware 3.x) or an .e2000-2xx file from ESP (firmware 2.x).
No. Only the password lock is removed. The calibration in the file stays as it was, and there's no factory reset.
No. Everything is done from the map file, so the ECU stays in the car.
